"I just want to try Meteon Run — what do I actually do?" Here's the three-line answer.
- Install the free app and run (no NFT needed; sign in with Google / Apple / email — or just play as a guest; if you plan to earn, sign in, since guest progress may stay on the device per the official whitepaper)
- When you want to start earning, log in to Meteon Garage with the Google / Apple / email account you signed in with → a Garage Wallet is created for you automatically
- Buy (or borrow) an NFT sneaker → run and earn GMTO → withdraw
Earnings are paid in GMTO, the in-game token. How much you earn depends on your sneaker, game mode, the market price and the game's rules, and nothing is guaranteed. Start with step 1. Every figure on this page is an example as displayed on Meteon Garage or in the official whitepaper as of August 22, 2026.
Meteon Run in 3 Steps: The Fastest Way to Start
Install the free app and take your first run
Download it from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in with Google, Apple or email — or skip sign-up entirely with Guest Play and start right away. If you plan to earn, sign in with Google / Apple / email from the start: the official whitepaper notes that guest progress may stay on the device, and you'll use that same account for Meteon Garage in step 2. The free trial gear lets you experience the full game loop (no NFT required).
You need: just your phone | Cost: free | Time: a few minutes
When you want to earn, log in to Meteon Garage
Log in to the official marketplace, Meteon Garage (market.meteornrun.io), with the Google / Apple / email account you signed in with in the app, and a Polygon wallet called the "Garage Wallet" is created for you automatically (no seed phrase). Buying NFTs, deposits and withdrawals, and the scholarship program all happen here.
You need: the Google / Apple / email account you use in the app | Cost: free | Time: a few minutes → How to use Meteon Garage
Buy (or borrow) an NFT sneaker → run and earn GMTO → withdraw
Buy a sneaker under "Buy NFT" on Garage (pay in USDT / MTO / GMTO / POL, with gas in POL — e.g. COMMON 25 USDT) or borrow one through the scholarship program (no upfront cost). Run with an NFT sneaker equipped and GMTO builds up; repairs are paid in GMTO too. Cashing out is a two-step transfer: first move GMTO from your game account to your Garage Wallet (0.5% fee, minimum withdrawal ≈ $10 — as displayed on Garage, August 22, 2026), then send it from the Garage Wallet to an exchange that accepts GMTO on Polygon (this step needs a little POL for gas).
You need: if buying, payment tokens plus POL in your Garage Wallet | Cost: the sneaker plus repairs (GMTO), plus POL for gas when you transfer | Time: Garage says GMTO transfers are credited within 2–5 minutes; the exchange side depends on your exchange → Getting ready to earn / Deposit & Withdraw
Which Entry Point Fits You? Three Paths Compared
There are three ways in, and you can switch between them at any time — so start with the free one.
- The app is free and Guest Play needs no sign-up. Free trial gear lets you experience the full loop
- Borrow an NFT sneaker through the scholarship program for zero upfront cost. Scholars get 3–10 plays a day depending on rank, and there's a cap on the rarity you can borrow
- Best for: anyone who wants to try it first → Lower-cost ways to start
- Example: COMMON 25 USDT (as shown on Garage, August 22, 2026). The lineup runs from affordable pairs to high-rarity ones
- Running wears down durability, and repairs are paid in GMTO (Common's base repair cost is about $0.772 × the share of durability lost, per the whitepaper table)
- Best for: people who want to run seriously at their own pace → How to buy an NFT
- Lend your NFT sneaker and split the scholar's GMTO (the owner gets 2–4% if the scholar pays for repairs, 97–99% if the owner pays)
- Staking V2: 1 MTO → 40 GMTO per year, claim anytime, 7-day wait to unstake (displayed APY about 20%, moves with the market)
- Best for: people who don't have time to run → Scholarship / Staking
Prices, share ratios and APY are examples as displayed on August 22, 2026. They change with the market and with updates to the game.
First Do's and Don'ts
Don't:
- Send funds on any chain other than Polygon. Your Garage Wallet is Polygon-only, and sending from another chain may mean losing the assets for good.
- Mistake in-app TRIAL / COMMON sneakers for NFTs. They aren't — and, like the Trial sneakers sold on Garage, they can't be lent out through the scholarship program.
- Treat the numbers as fixed. Prices, the minimum withdrawal and APY are all examples as displayed on August 22, 2026, and change with the market and the game's rules.
- Spend money expecting big earnings. Earnings are in GMTO with no guarantee, and repairs cost money too. Only use funds you can afford to lose.
