- The only difference the official sources confirm between sneakers is rank (rarity), which sets the repair cost (priced in USD) and the size of the rewards.
- Higher ranks earn more but cost more to repair (official Hub FAQ). The official sources don't compare efficiency between ranks, so choose by budget and how much you'll play.
- You earn no GMTO until the sneaker is equipped (sync it on Garage, then wear it under MY BOX in the app).
There are six looks (series), plus the top-tier ranks, a collab, and Trial. Browse the full lineup in pictures first, then we'll use only the official rules to sort out which one to pick and how to equip it.
Catalog: Every Series at Every Rank
What you buy under "Buy NFT" on Meteon Garage is a combination of series (design) × rank (rarity). The series changes the look, but at the same rank, every series works the same way (official whitepaper). Each series is shown from Common to Super Epic.

Trialentry-level ranks; even the NFT version can't be lent via scholarship

The background color is the rarity color. Trial sneakers sold on Garage are NFTs, but the listing notes they can't be lent out through the scholarship program. The TRIAL/COMMON sneakers sold as in-app purchases are not NFTs (more below).
Rank Sets Repair Cost and Reward Size
The only difference the official sources confirm between sneakers is rank (rarity), which sets the base repair cost (priced in USD) and the size of the rewards. As for rewards, the official Hub puts it this way: "the rank sets how much GMTO you get per GMTO coin and the repair cost — higher ranks earn more but cost more to repair."
| Rank | Base repair cost (USD, official estimate) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Common | $0.772 | Shop listing example: 25 USDT (as of August 22, 2026) |
| Uncommon | $2.564 | — |
| Super Uncommon | $6.58 | Highest rank a ROOKIE scholar can borrow |
| Rare | $9.58 | — |
| Super Rare | $6.67 | Lower than Rare in the official table (sic) |
| Epic | $13.33 | — |
| Super Epic | $26.67 | — |
| Legendary | $100.00 | Top tier, very small supply |
| Ultimate | $466.67 | Top tier, very small supply |
| Trial Common | $0.0926 | Can't be lent via scholarship |
| Trial Uncommon | $0.1543 | Same as above |
| Trial Rare | $0.2469 | Same as above |
The official whitepaper table gives estimates, and it isn't strictly in rank order — Super Rare is listed below Rare, for instance. Check the official sources for the latest figures.
- Repair cost (USD) = base cost × the share of durability lost. A full sneaker costs nothing.
- You pay in GMTO (converted at the live rate). Repair tickets cost about 30% more.
- Same rank, same cost structure across every series. The base cost may be adjusted depending on the state of the economy.
How Rewards Work (From the Official Hub FAQ)
- You can earn GMTO with 1% or more durability (stamina) left. At 0% you can still collect regular coins, but no GMTO and no SPIN.
- No natural recovery. You can repair on the spot (repairing with GMTO requires a prior deposit from your wallet into the game).
- 7 regular coins = 1 SPIN → a win sends you into the premium sequence (Chance Zone).
- Doors: gray about 30% (dummies included) / red about 60% / rainbow guaranteed. Four misses in a row trigger a Rescue Chance on the fifth.
- METEON RUSH = repair cost × about 300% (about 1,000% on average); SUPER METEON RUSH = about 8,000%. Varies with your sneaker's rank and the items you collect.
- Not counted toward GMTO: Multiplier ×2 applies to regular coins only, and the sky stage you reach with Boost or Jump pays regular coins only.
- You can own several, but only one pair can be equipped.
How to Choose (Strategy)
- Start with the free trial gear to learn the loop. Get a feel for durability loss, SPIN, and the doors before you consider an NFT (whether free gear earns GMTO isn't stated officially).
- Make your first NFT one lower-rank pair within budget. Example: COMMON at 25 USDT (as listed on August 22, 2026). Learn "how much is left after repairs."
- Going up a rank raises the ceiling and the upkeep together (official Hub FAQ: higher ranks earn more but cost more to repair). The official sources don't compare efficiency between ranks, so decide whether you want a higher ceiling or a lighter upfront cost.
- Planning to lend? Skip Trial. Only Garage-bought NFTs other than Trial can be lent. In-app-purchase sneakers aren't NFTs, so they can't be lent either.
- On Challenge days, run your best sneaker at full durability; on Safe days, earn steadily and repair (official whitepaper). The mode rotates daily.
- Repair when GMTO is priced high and you spend fewer GMTO. Repair costs are fixed in USD (the reverse is also true).
Earnings are paid in GMTO and move with the market and the game's rules. The official Hub also warns (our translation from the Japanese): "MTO and GMTO are classified as crypto assets. Their prices fluctuate, and we do not recommend using them for the purpose of building assets or investing." This site makes no claims about amounts or payback timing either.
How to Equip an NFT (Garage → App)
Before you start: register on Meteon Garage (you'll need a referrer's activation code) and link your wallet. Without that, you can't receive rewards (official Hub).
- Open "MY NFT" from the Garage menu.
- There are two tabs, "In Wallet" and "In Game". Your sneaker starts in In Wallet, meaning it hasn't reached the game yet.
- Tap the blue "In Game" button under the sneaker you want to use → confirm "Lock this NFT for ingame use" with "OK".
- After "Success," check that the sneaker has moved to the "In Game" tab.
- Launch the app, log in, and open "MY BOX" from the bottom menu.
- Select the type of sneaker you just synced.
- On the detail screen, tap the equip button (shown as 「シューズを履く」 / "Wear shoes" in the Japanese UI; the English label may differ) — you're equipped.
- No sync, no GMTO. You need to do this the first time and every time you get a new sneaker.
- Runs played without an NFT equipped can't be claimed later.
- Only one pair can be equipped. To lend a sneaker, take it out of the In Game state first (per Garage).
